Depending on the brand your running the chisel tip does not come sharpened from the factory.
Its simply a steel mold.
The chisel tip is the first thing that hits the animal starting your entrance wound. When its not sharp you loose two things, kinetic energy and penetration.
New out of the package this chisel tip couldn't open a letter, or cut through paper.
After we sharpen it, you can shave with it!

Hi, My name is Ashley Gagne and I will shoot a bow until the day I die, 100%. Personally I call archery an art, the "Art of Archery". It is labelled a sport in the competitive world but once you understand the in-depth process of a properly tuned bow and the art of building extremely accurate arrows, a persons views change the deeper they study. There's something about achieving perfect arrow flight and hitting your mark at 200ft that can't be put into words. The chase of perfection, over and over again, while falling in love with bow building and the tuning process from start to finish.
It's this passion and experience combined with our two Canadian wholesaler accounts that made Red Lake Archery possible. Bringing you fair retail prices of major name brand bow brands and top level archery equipment.
Our business is equipped with a full professional tech shop and store. We also offer archery lessons with an Archery Canada certified instructor.
